Margie convinces her father to support her new hobby—taking up ju-jitsu lessons from the famous wrestler Bull Moose—only to accidentally send her dad flying during a demonstration. As her dad recovers from the mishap, Margie considers switching to a less physically demanding pastime, but her next idea involves training a boxer dog, much to her father’s dismay.

In a chaotic kitchen filled with misplaced ingredients and misplaced enthusiasm, Margie’s dad and her friend Freddy accidentally swap flour and plaster while preparing treats and ash trays for a charity picnic. As the mix-up leads to hilariously inedible coffee rolls and unappetizing ash trays, the pair must scramble to salvage the day—only to discover their mishaps might just be a hit with the crowd.

Meanwhile, Margie’s eccentric uncle, who’s just arrived from a cross-country tour, causes chaos at a dinner party by pretending to be a distinguished guest while hiding from the truth about his past.

Margie is furious when her date arrives late, having spent ten minutes waiting while he was still getting ready. He tries to brush it off with humor, but her irritation is clear — and she’s not going to the party if he can’t be on time.

In a lighthearted twist, Margie is unexpectedly sidelined from playing golf with her boss and a wealthy guest when a surprise house guest—Mr. Honeywell’s young nephew, Gastern—arrives, leaving her to babysit him instead. Flashing back to her childhood, Margie’s father recounts a humorous and memorable incident from her early years that highlights her enduring affection for children, even if her methods are a bit unorthodox.

Margie insists she’ll never eat at a certain restaurant again after a waiter glares at her, claiming he felt under-tipped. She declares she gave him a look right back, much to Freddie’s dismay.
