Playboy Derek’s uncle says he’ll cut him off without a cent unless Derek can find a “stand-out” wife in 30 days, without using his name or family fortune. Under a false name, Derek takes a job as a shoe clerk at a store frequented by socialite Liza. Fellow employee Betty helps Derek out in his job, and they fall in love. Liza flirts with Derek but he discovers she knows his true identity, so he goes back to Betty. Derek takes Betty to meet his uncle and he says she’s a good match for his nephew.
