"Buried Alive," the second story, follows Dr. John Boyle and Professor Roger Hollander as they investigate a mystic named Nagash Deshbindi who claims to perform the "Buried Alive" feat in the Orient; the story explores the scientific possibility of humans surviving in a sealed, oxygen-deprived state, with the investigation revealing aliens who plan to use a human as their guide to save their race and future.
