This anthology issue contains three science fiction stories. The first story involves a man and woman caught in an alien world where they are crowned king and queen, only to discover the reigning monarchs plot to kill the man and make the woman a widow. "Destination—Venus" is a text feature discussing scientific theories about Venus's atmosphere, temperature, and potential for supporting life based on radio astronomy discoveries. "Interplanetary Love" follows bookish Johnny Smith, who builds his own TV transmitter and receives a signal from a beautiful girl in outer space, leading him to embark on a journey to meet her in person.

They Didn't Believe Him
4 pp · Fantasy

A young centaur insists he's glimpsed a mermaid rising from the lake, but the elders of his camp dismiss his claims as delusion and madness. When they imprison him to protect the community from his supposed madness, he breaks free and rushes back to the water—only to vanish without a trace, leaving the elders to grapple with a truth they'd refused to accept.

A World Where I Was King
5 pp · Fantasy

Bill Jones is just a clumsy observatory worker pining after his coworker Miriam—until a strange purple light transports him to another world where he stumbles into the role of warrior and champion for Queen Mmmmmm, the realm's most beautiful ruler. As he rises from fighting her battles to winning her heart and being crowned king, rival monarchs plot against him, forcing him to defend everything he's gained in this strange new kingdom.

A Forgotten World
6 pp · Science Fiction

Sam Cullen's vacation tour into an underground cave system becomes far more than he bargained for when he discovers a hidden civilization that's thrived in the Earth's depths since the Ice Age—and their scorching world has its own brutal laws for surface dwellers. With the help of a sympathetic underground doctor and a beautiful singer named Evna, Sam finds himself caught between desire and survival as he confronts the fierce will of their tribal chief. This 1957 tale of discovery beneath the Earth plunges readers into a fiery, forgotten realm where one man's curiosity may cost him everything.

The Strange Guests of Tsarus
6 pp · Science Fiction

Dr. Kyle Duran grows suspicious when Major Latimer, leading humanity's first expedition to the planet Tsarus, keeps finding reasons to delay contact with Earth—so Duran and his assistant Verna make the dangerous journey themselves to uncover the truth. What they discover is far more disturbing than miscommunication: the Tsarians have transformed the explorers into mechanical beings sustained by chemical energy, and Latimer is no longer human. Now trapped on an alien world where the inhabitants plan to "process" them into machines, Duran and Verna must find a way to escape before they meet the same fate.

Interplanetary Love
4 pp · Science Fiction

Johnny Smith, a quiet ham radio enthusiast, picks up an unexpected signal from Saturn—a beautiful girl named Satura who's fallen for him through his TV broadcasts. After weeks of long-distance romance, Satura borrows her family's rocket ship to meet him in person at Times Square, but the reality of an interplanetary date proves far more complicated than either of them imagined.
