“The Warning!”

In "The Warning!", Tony Neely finds himself caught in a deadly web after overhearing a murder plot in a dimly lit bar—only to realize the target is himself. As he follows the couple through shadowy streets, the chilling truth dawns: the woman planning the kill is his own wife, Rose. Written by an unknown hand and illustrated by John Tartaglione with inks by Vince Colletta, this 1955 tale of suspense delivers a gut-punch twist in a story that’s as sharp as its 10-cent cover price. The cover, penciled and inked by Carl Burgos, captures the moment’s dread with a haunting simplicity.
