National Lampoon Magazine #36

Jul 1981 · Twenty First Century / Heavy Metal / National Lampoon · 2.00 USD
“Remember the Good Old Days?”

"Remember the Good Old Days?" is a striking, surreal short story from National Lampoon Magazine #36 (1981), written and illustrated entirely by Charlie Rodrigues. The tale follows Blind Bob, whose sudden return of sight after a gunshot leaves him facing a terrifying truth about the woman he once knew—Deirdre—whose face proves too much to bear. With a stark, hand-drawn style and a darkly comic edge, Rodrigues crafts a disquieting exploration of perception and memory, all on the cover of a 2.00 USD magazine from 1981.
