“Chapter 1: Nyanko Sensei's Grand Entrance!”

"Chapter 1: Nyanko Sensei's Grand Entrance!" introduces Takashi Natsume, a boy who inherits his grandmother’s gift—and her mysterious Book of Friends, a collection of captured Yokai names. When the spirits come after him, he’s reluctantly aided by Nyanko Sensei, a mischievous cat Yokai who’s as much a nuisance as he is a guide. Written by Yuki Midorikawa and Lillian Olsen, with art by Midorikawa and inks by Sabrina Heep, the story unfolds with quiet charm and gentle mystery, all anchored by a cover by Yuki Midorikawa that captures the whimsical, eerie tone of the series.
