On a world in the Skrull empire, scientists begin to do experimentation on human genetic material. The Skrulls also begin to practice impersonating Earth heroes. After their world is devoured by Galactus, the Skrull empress claims that ancient prophecies declare that the planet earth will be their new home. Super Skrulls with multiple earth hero powers are developed. The empress decides to become an intricate part of the Secret Invasion and decides to take the form of Spider-Woman.
