Spider-Man, Ka-Zar and Shanna battle a Captain America who is totally convinced that he is fully human. Knocked out by a tranquilizer dart, however, Captain America reverts to Skrull form as his mind reflects on how he took on the persona of the star spangled Avenger and how he and his fellow hero impersonators made it to Earth while still being convinced that they were the genuine human articles. Shanna kills Captain America Skrull.
