“Turn Back the Clock”

In "Turn Back the Clock," Albion attempts to rally Britain by claiming he’s reversed time to a more idyllic era, but his vision of a pre-technological past falls flat with the public. As he and his Shadow Captains distribute supplies, Excalibur and Shadow-X clash with the forces of the past—until Sage, consumed by her Britannia persona, turns on her former allies and kills the Beast. Written by Chris Claremont and illustrated by Pat Olliffe, with inks by Sean Parsons, Dave Meikis, Jonathan Sibal, and Scott Koblish, and colored by Laura Villari, this issue features a cover by Scot Eaton and John Dell.

Albion tries to get the people of Britain on his side as he claims to have turned back the clock to a better time when everything was not so dependent on technology. Reaction is poor, even as Albion and his Shadow Captains start distributing supplies. Excalibur and Shadow-X battle the Shadow Captains but Sage arrives and seems to have lost herself in her Britannia persona as she fights her former teammates and kills the Beast.
