Nightcrawler, Logan and Christine make it to the Florida circus where Kurt was once drugged and displayed as a monster. Kurt confronts his old captor, Jardine, now a bitter old man. The circus is attacked by creatures (including Man-Thing) looking for the Soulsword which they believe is in Nightcrawler's possession. Magik, Margali and Nightmare arrive and Kurt is told that he has had the sword all along as Margali pulls it from his chest. With the sword finally revealed, the demon, Hive, comes out of hiding, possesses Wolverine and causes him to cut down Christine.
