Marvin Shame, the tough private detective who's nothing like those phonies on the radio and television, takes on the criminal Reds Egan and his mob to protect his client—but his investigation gets wildly derailed when he encounters a mysterious and captivating woman at Reds's hideout. Before long, Marvin finds himself caught up in a whirlwind romance that leads to an unexpected proposal, all set to play out on his own television show.
