This volume kicks off the feline-themed delinquent comedy series Nyankees, following Ryuusei, a stray cat who arrives in a new neighborhood and quickly finds himself entangled with the local gangs of tough, streetwise cats. The story blends over-the-top yankee (juvenile delinquent) tropes with cat behavior, as Ryuusei fights to establish his place among the clowder. Written and illustrated by Atsushi Okada, this first volume collects the opening chapters of the original Japanese run.
