Meanwhile, the Newsboy Legion, fresh with their latest Whiz Wagon prototype, head out to find Jimmy Olsen for a test run—unaware their path might cross with the war for the universe’s fate.

In "For Purple Mountain Majesties...", Orion is driven by fury after the Suicide Jockeys kill Tigra, setting him on a path of vengeance. Meanwhile, Jimmy and the Newsboy Legion journey to New Genesis, where the citizens are obeying a mysterious directive from the Source—leaving their fate uncertain.
