"Weird Watson" shows a mysterious figure in a top hat and red scarf visiting a pet shop, where he retrieves a small creature. The issue also includes a "Weird Watson" humorous segment and a promotional page offering prizes for religious service and good deeds.

Four students gather in a darkened library at Corpus Christi College in October 1905, hoping for a quiet night of study—but matches refuse to burn, the temperature plummets, and something monstrous waits in the shadows, half-glimpsed in the pale moonlight. When a neighbor's curiosity about the reclusive Grant sisters leads him to their house, he uncovers a secret so terrible that it seals the fates of everyone involved, including his own wife's greed-driven scheming.
