This issue contains two stories: "Homeless Bound," in which Captain Doom returns to find himself down on his luck; after losing money and being recognized by Ralph Drucker, a man he left for dead years before, Doom is shot and wounded but manages to escape. A bartender helps Doom and arranges for him to confess his crimes and turn himself in to the sheriff, leading Doom to decide he wants to get straight with the law. "The Great Commander Crazy Horse" depicts the legendary Oglala Sioux cavalry tactician who rode with Chief Red Cloud beginning at age sixteen, showing him in battle against superior forces while never risking his men needlessly, and later engaging in combat with cavalry soldiers and burning their wagon.
