“Corn-y Hero”

In "Corn-y Hero," Felix the Cat stumbles into a bizarre predicament after a clumsy encounter with a bulldog leaves him with a pained eye—so he tries a quick fix with peroxide, only to end up dramatically transformed into a "Cat of Many Colors." Suddenly the center of attention, Felix finds himself pursued by a parade of feline admirers, each more determined than the last. Written and drawn by Joe Oriolo, this whimsical 1957 adventure captures Felix’s chaotic charm, with Warren Kremer’s dynamic cover bringing the colorful chaos to life.

After being punched in the eye by the bulldog, Felix douses himself with peroxide as a remedy, but overdoes it and turns himself into a "peroxide blonde" - beginning his misadventures as a “Cat of Many Colors”. A bevy of amorous (and unattractive) female cats find Felix's new coloring irresistible, and aggressively pursue him.
