Connie is envious of her college friend Peggy’s wealth. Visiting Peggy over the Christmas holidays, Connie sets her cap for Peggy’s boyfriend Bob and they fall in love. Connie has to drop out of school for financial reasons, and then learns Bob has quit his engineering job to be with her. He wants to marry Connie, but she rejects him because he’s not rich. Bob marries Peggy instead. When Connie visits them, he and Connie rekindle their romance. However, Connie feels guilty for stealing Peggy’s husband and she rejects Bob once again, falsely claiming she doesn’t love him.
