Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #311

Part of Marvel's 2018 Spider-Geddon crossover event, this issue sees Spider-Man clinging to a building wall in his red-and-black suit, lunging toward the viewer against a glowing full moon — while a dark, caped figure looms ominously in the background amid a smoky cityscape. The Philip Tan cover does a terrific job of conveying tension and scale, with that moonlit silhouette suggesting Spider-Man is about to face something far more dangerous than your average night on the town. Sean Ryan, Juan Frigeri, and Jason Keith bring their talents to this chapter of the multiverse-spanning spider-saga — a solid pick-up for anyone following the event.
