Peter Rabbit Comics #5

Peter Rabbit, by Harrison Cady, follows the titular rabbit as he decides to find a nice lake for a swim while his children stay behind with their teacher. When the teacher makes the children do arithmetic drills and punishes them for getting answers wrong by having them stay until they "get it right," the frustrated students decide to find burnt sticks to rub on themselves as a prank. After the children succeed in getting completely "black in the face," they ask to go home, and the embarrassed teacher finally dismisses them. Meanwhile, Peter searches for a suitable swimming spot, eventually finding a nice lake where he can cool off.
