Phazer Crossover #2
In "Spear of Destiny, War of Infamy," Phazer returns from a temporal rift to find Sunburst under the control of mind-warping pink Ganndroids, leading to a clash that spirals into a forgotten past. Inside a pre-Columbian pyramid, green Ganndroids reveal that Phazer once helped their ancestors build a world-saving machine—and now he must repair it to end their civil war. With Sunburst reclaimed and Math Mathonway emerging, the stage is set for an alliance across time and conflict. Written by Mariano Nicieza and illustrated by John Hebert, James Graham, Deena Simmons, Matthew Wachnicki, and Sam Carlin, with inks and colors by the same team and lettering by Taylor Esposito, this 2012 issue features a striking cover by Jim Steranko and Steve Ryan.

After phasing out as the Golden Age War Heroes attack Imperius, Phazer reappears in another time and place, encountering Sunburst. When pink Ganndroids take over Sunburst's mind, she battles Phazer, who stumbles across green Ganndroids in a pre-Columbian pyramid. They tell him he visited their ancestors thousands of years ago and helped them build a machine that saved their world. They need him to repair it; when he does so, hostilities between the two forms of Ganndroids cease and Sunburst becomes herself. Math Mathonway materializes and enlists the two heroes' help.
