This is an anthology issue containing multiple romance stories. "I Couldn't Face the Shameful Truth" follows a woman who breaks up with her devoted boyfriend Steve after he proposes, fearing his love is suffocating, only to later regret her decision when she learns he has moved on with another woman and realizes she was wrong to push him away. Another story depicts a detective named Steve who leaves the police force for a lucrative job with a racketeering outfit, but when a woman named Marilyn tempts him with promises of wealth and a glamorous lifestyle, he must choose between the criminal enterprise and his integrity. The issue also features "Weekend Escapade," as indicated on the cover.

I Made a Sinful Bargain
8 pp · Romance

A vain and jealous young woman named Marian makes a habit of stealing boyfriends from other girls—not because she wants them, but because she can't bear to see any boy show interest in another girl. As her manipulative conquests stack up and her reputation spreads, Marian discovers that her pride may finally catch up with her when the fellows she's tormented suddenly stop asking her out. Watch as this self-centered schemer learns a hard lesson about the cost of her selfishness in "I Made a Sinful Bargain."

Weekend Escapade

Sandra breezes out of her small town after graduation with big dreams of Chicago sophistication, but the glamorous city life proves messier than she bargained for—caught between the advances of office men with questionable intentions and the memory of the boy she left behind. When a weekend invitation offers the chance to finally prove herself as a woman of the world, Sandra takes a daring plunge that forces her to reckon with what she's really been running toward. A sharp-eyed look at youthful ambition colliding with real-world consequences, drawn with wit and genuine feeling.
