Ann and Russ had been in love, but didn't have enough money to get married. Russ had an opportunity to make more money in Canada so he left. But the letters stop after she moved to a new place. She looked in back newspapers and saw a headline about an explosion in a Canadian ore mine, but didn't know if it was related to Russ. She moved on with her life and gets engaged to her boss' son. Now, three years after they had parted, she has just happened to meet Russ again on the eve of her wedding.
