Wendy tries to persuade Tim to leave the small town where he works in her father's factory to seek fame as a guitar player, but he is content to stay there to be near her. After he has an altercation with a rival for Wendy's love, he feels he has no future with her and leaves for Paris. Months later, Wendy realizes that she loves Tim and arranges a trip to Paris to see how he is doing.
