Picture Romances #510
"Love Is Not for Sale" is a quietly poignant tale from Picture Romances #510 (1968), where a wealthy orphan, newly come into her uncle’s fortune, finds herself overlooked in the rugged mining town he once called home. Drawn to a miner who remains unmoved by her status, she begins to uncover a past he’s buried beneath the earth—though the truth of his choice remains carefully hidden. The story’s emotional weight is matched by its stark, typeset lettering, lending a timeless, intimate feel to the romance.
