Brutus is granted permission from Xavier to enter the Forbidden Zone. Jason and Alexander are take before the Mutants' Gestalt Commander Be-One and sentenced to death in the arena. In the arena they join forces with captured gorilla Warko and are forced to battle several deadly, mutated animals. They escape the arena and discover the Lawgiver. Together, they escape in a sky car.
