Playbox #1059 is an anthology comic featuring several stories: "Off to the Sea for Whitsun" follows Twizzle and companions on a seaside excursion where mishaps arise when Twizzle hides in the driver's lunch box; "Wonderful Island" depicts children discovering a mysterious island where they encounter talking animals and search for a lost echo; "Chums of Jolly Farm" shows Jack and his horse Faithful thwarting rascals who attempt to steal silver; and "Pets of Mine" recounts how Johnny rescues his friend Jimby from danger at a circus, with the help of various animals including a clever carrot-loving donkey named Clippety.
