Playbox #773 is an anthology comic containing three stories: "Tuff the Pup and His Magic Tail," in which a boy's dog's magical tail grants wishes that go humorously awry when used to dispose of a cigar and prepare food; "What Happened Before," a continuation of an underwater adventure in which Joe and Effie discover a wrecked pirate ship and pursue a large fish; and "Wendy: Tales of Her Wonderful Adventures," wherein Wendy helps an injured man named Don who has been struck by highwaymen's horses, and he rewards her by directing her toward Penguin Land. The issue also includes "Sonny Bear and Micky," showing the two characters in new uniforms playing with a major's helmet that causes comedic chaos.
