June inherits a little antique shop from her aunt, but her desire to run the shop causes friction with her boyfriend. She finds some old oil paintings upstairs and decides to put them up for sale. A struggling artist sees the paintings and suggests she should have them priced. But the man who borrows the paintings to have them appraised intends to have copies painted so he can return the copies to June while he sells the originals at an auction.
