Pogo Possum #1
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeIn this spoof western from Pogo Possum #1, Albert Alligator and Pogo Possum ride to the rescue of Soft Shell, their trusty steeds Beauregard Bugleboy and Barnstable Bear kicking up dust in the dusty frontier. When the duo reaches Porkypine’s hideaway, a showdown erupts in the desert heat—gunfire, chaos, and a whole lot of animal-sized antics.
Pogo Possum finds himself outwitted when Churchy Lafemme and Toadie Frog steal his lunch, prompting him to join Albert Alligator in a lively showboat cabaret. The night takes a swashbuckling turn when Churchy reemerges as a flamboyant pirate captain, turning the riverboat into a stage for chaos and song.
In "The End of the Rainbow," Mose Muskrat spins a wild tale to Rackety Coon Chile, claiming Pogo Possum knows the location of gold at the end of a rainbow—only for Albert Alligator and Howland Owl to catch wind of the rumor. As Pogo and Churchy Lafemme launch rockets and flares in a bid to prove the legend, the swamp erupts in a swirl of goblins and voodoo giants, turning a simple scam into a full-blown spectacle of prime nonsense.
