The Pigtail Club takes the stage with their production of "Little Women," a five-page story where Polly Blake, Sunny Stern, Agnes Kelly, and Louise Olson perform for the Fairfield Community House. When a local newspaper gives them glowing coverage, the girls catch the attention of rival Vera Brill, who challenges them to a basketball game—but the Pigtailers realize they're one player short, and they'll need serious practice to stand a chance against the Whippets.
