In "Porky Pig and the Gold Hamburger," Porky dreams of becoming a writer but struggles to find inspiration—until a chance encounter with a fleeing swami leaves him with a mysterious pouch that turns anything it touches to gold. When Bugs Bunny tries to keep the salt hidden, Petunia’s hamburger stand accidentally turns its offerings into solid gold, setting off a chain of chaotic events. Written by Don R. Christensen and illustrated by Fred Abranz, with a cover by Tony Strobl, this 1955 Dell comic blends classic slapstick with a touch of whimsical magic.

Porky wants to be a writer, but can't think of anything to write about. Bugs and Cicero arrange for actors to give Porky a scare when he walks along the waterfront, but the actors back out. In a random meeting, Porky is given a mysterious pouch by a swami who is pursued by a sword-wielding count. After defeating the count, Porky finds that the pouch contains a salt that turns things to gold. Bugs decides to hide the gold salt in a salt shaker, but Petunia borrows it for her hamburger stand, resulting in gold hamburgers.
