Black Bolt is being mind controlled by Maximus who commands him to speak and destroy New Attilan. Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch stave off destruction but Maximus conjures the Crimson Cadre to attack the Inhuman royal family and cover his escape. He takes his benefactor, Fabian Cortez, to the Terrigen Mists but uses an illusion of Magneto to betray Cortez and snatch the mists for himself. As Max releases a giant cloud of the mists to further mutate and destroy the Inhumans, Cortez is forced to boost Quicksilver's powers so Pietro can create a vortex to put the mists back in their place.
