Roy Rogers and his horse Trigger are entrusted with banking a fortune in gold for prospector John Mitchell, but a mysterious stranger, Jed Phillips, steals the money and plans to ambush Roy. As Roy rides toward Red River City, he is captured by Phillips and his gang, who force him to hand over the gold—only for Roy to use his quick thinking and Trigger’s loyalty to outwit them.
