An anthology issue containing seven war and military-themed stories. Featured are "Navy's Ace Raider" about Admiral William Halsey, "Army Miracle Man" about General Brehon Somervell overseeing munitions production, "Panda Man" by Floyd Tangier-Smith, and "Ship Builder No. 1." The visible interior pages show a story of Captain Woods and his damaged DC-2 aircraft calling for help from Hongkong while under Japanese attack, eventually receiving assistance from a nearby town and successfully returning with a replacement wing, and a biographical piece on author John Buchanan who won a scholarship and later served as secretary to the Governor of South Africa during the Boer War.
