Real Life Comics #20

Real Life Comics #20 is an anthology of historical and military stories. The cover story "The U.S. Paratroopers" depicts American airborne soldiers conducting a combat drop with parachutes during World War II. The issue includes "The Man Who Was Freedom," a biography of Thaddeus Kosciuszko, a Polish patriot and officer in the American Revolutionary War who befriended young William Pole and later became a symbol of liberty in Europe. Another featured story chronicles the exploits of General Simón Bolívar, depicting his early military leadership, his romance with Ludwika that was interrupted by her father, and his eventual campaigns for South American independence, culminating in his 1815 return to drive Spanish forces from Jamaica.
