This issue contains two stories: "Logo Lew Waxes Silly," a humorous short featuring a character who takes Mr. Brisbane's store logo and engages in absurd antics involving sealing wax and exaggerated tall tales about his cousin Cactus Brain, and a Monte Hale adventure in which the outlaw and bandit Monte Hale plans to ambush federal cavalry investigating charges against him by having them pursue a decoy at Hanging Rock, but is thwarted when a young boy named Pop Rogan becomes trapped in a burning building that Monte must rescue him from, leading to reconciliation between them.
