Diana weds assistant director Walt. He wants her to use her friendship with movie studio head Jim (she had been Jim’s secretary) to further his career. Walt throws them together and doesn’t even complain when Jim embraces her. Walt is promoted to director but when Diana—who has fallen in love with Jim—asks her husband for a divorce, he begs her to stay. In a drunken, jealous rage, Walt tries to murder Jim but ends up dead himself. Jim and Diana will be together at last.
