Mike returns from serving in the Army overseas and is reunited with Kay. Kay was faithful to Mike in his absence. Now, however, Mike insists she see other men and she dates Terry. Mike vanishes. Kay learns Mike was given six months to live due to a war wound and has “one chance in ten thousand” to survive an operation. This is why he tried to drive her away. Kay rushes to his side and they are married in the hospital. The operation is a success.
