Rex Libris #13
In "Convergence of Chaos," Rex Libris finds himself abruptly cast back in time to inhabit a Yith, only to be thrust into a surreal family reunion of his evolutionary ancestors—all reanimated in Yith bodies. Writer and artist James Turner crafts a mind-bending, visually striking journey as Rex grapples with the bizarre spectacle, even as the fate of R’lyeh hangs in the balance. The issue’s cover by James Turner captures the cosmic unease of the moment, making this a standout entry in the series.

As Rex evades his enemies he's suddenly thrown back millions of years into the body of a Yith; the Yiths summon forth members of each evolutionary relative of Rex's ancestry and place them into Yith bodies to hold a family reunion, but Rex is uninterested. Just as they bring out a Yith containing the mind of his dead lover Hypatia, Rex's mind returns to his body on R'lyeh. Rex and his allies thwart the attempts to awaken Cthulhu and instead recite a lullaby which keeps Cthulhu asleep. R'lyeh sinks beneath the ocean aggain and Rex looks forward to issue #14.
