"The Ace of Spades Missing" depicts a card family distressed over the loss of their leader and enlists a caped superhero character to search for him. "Tommy Tot" follows a young character whose guardian, Mister Tot, is kidnapped by a flying circus, prompting Tommy to call out the heir corps for help in a scrambled rescue operation. Additional stories feature Cuthbert Pedigree encountering Señor Tamale, in which Cuthbert attempts various pranks—including painting Tamale's palm red and launching him with a fishing rod—before finally settling him down with soft music and piano playing, resulting in both characters finding unexpected peace.
