Ribtickler #7 is a humor anthology featuring animal and comedy characters. One story follows woodland creatures—including a character named Chum, an anthropomorphic frog named Freddie, and other animal companions—as they devise a plan to deal with Freddie's tough "boss" and ultimately set a trap by luring him to bathe in what appears to be a tire filled with water, where the king arrives and disrupts their scheme. Another story titled "Longhorn Legends" by Old Ranny explains the evolution and practical development of the cowboy hat through years of trial and error on the frontier plains.
