In the holiday-themed tale "null," Jackie Jokers dons a Santa Claus outfit to deliver gifts to Richie and his friends, playfully asking each if they’ve been good. When he turns to Dollar, the dog responds with a lick to Jackie’s face, leaving everyone puzzled over whether it was a yes or a no.

When Prof. Keenbean unveils his portable Wish-A-Toy machine to help Santa (Jackie) deliver presents without the heavy load, things go delightfully awry—until Jackie gets a chance to make a wish of his own.

In "null," Pee Wee’s spirits sink when he hears there’ll be no snow this year, but Jackie steps in to help—arranging for Richie to fire up a snow-producing machine near the Friendly residence, turning the lawn into a winter wonderland in an instant.

Richie and Jackie race across the globe in a madcap quest to catch the stroke of midnight, chasing the new year from one time zone to the next after a broken clock ruins their celebration. With the final hour ticking away, they find themselves on a remote island where the locals are just as eager to ring in the new year—right as the clock strikes.
