Rise of the Powers of X #3

Part of Marvel's 2024 "Fall of the House of X" publishing initiative, this third chapter of Rise of the Powers of X arrives with a cover that does quiet menace beautifully — a young woman seated on an autumn park bench, leaves scattered at her feet, frozen in wide-eyed shock as an enormous, futuristic weapon is leveled at her from just off-frame. R. B. Silva's linework gives the scene a deceptively peaceful, everyday setting that makes the threat feel all the more unsettling. Writer Kieron Gillen and Silva continue building what looks to be a tense, grounded corner of a much larger mutant saga.
