Chapter One opens in the quiet village of the Two Rivers, where Bel Tine celebrations are underway, but unease lingers in the air—ravens gather in unnatural numbers, and shadows move with purpose. An Aes Sedai and her Warder arrive under mysterious circumstances, their presence a disruption to the village’s fragile peace. Meanwhile, a prologue from the distant past reveals fragments of the ancient legend of Lews Therin Telamon, hinting at a power long buried.
