This issue contains two Robin Hood stories. In "Ambush of the Merry Men," Robin Hood's band is infiltrated by four spies sent by the Earl of Wessex; when Maid Marian alerts Robin to the betrayal, he tracks the traitors to a secret tunnel and rescues his captured men. The second story, "Sir Guy's Worst Fate," depicts Sir Guy de Mandeville, a knight bound by a strict code of honor, jousting against Baron Corday; Sir Guy is defeated, and this humiliating loss proves to be a fate worse than death according to his own rigid principles.
