Rocky Lane and his stallion Black Jack investigate a series of crimes linked to a mysterious outlaw known as the Twig. When stolen horses bearing a distinctive brand appear at a local ranch, Rocky deduces that twin-gun Eliot—the man behind the thefts—is using the alias "the Coyote" to cover his tracks. Rocky sets out on the outlaw's trail to catch him and recover the stolen goods, ultimately aiming to prove the Twig's criminal identity to the authorities.
