Jane falls in love with a Chicago pool hustler who refuses to get a steady job, even though he is a first class mechanic. Then Johnny receives news that he has inherited a workshop outside Los Angeles from an uncle he didn't event know existed. Actually, the workshop had belonged to Jane's uncle as part of a plan to get Johnny away from pool rooms. But soon Johnny signs over 70 percent ownership to a man who deals in contraband.
