Salvatore had come to Milan to work as a brick-layer. He had fallen in love with Leda but she is sick of being poor and marries the director of a big insurance company. Salvatore life's starts to decline. Meanwhile, Leda wants for nothing, but feels trapped. On impulse, she writes a note and catches a flight for Greece. On reading the note, her husband rushes to the airport to join her on the flight. Salvatore happens to be on the flight, paid to hijack the plane to Cairo. Neither realize that Leda's husband had arranged the hijacking to collect the insurance money.
