She sells her work to art dealer Rodney, who resells them to rich clients and cheats her on the money, while pretending to love her. Naomi meets fellow sculptor Eric and they fall in love, but he doesn’t know she’s deaf and she doesn’t hear him propose marriage or tell her that Rodney’s a cheat.
